"There are times when I think that the ideal library is composed solely of reference books. They are like understanding friends--always ready to meet your mood, always ready to change the subject when you have had enough of this or that."

—Donald J. Adams (b. 1924) [Maxwell Smart] American actor

Friends of the Berthoud Public Library

Friends support programs and services that bring your library to life. We raise our voices to ensure a first-class public library for Berthoud. We are what our name implies: a collection of committed, caring individuals who share a common vision of a superior, free public library. Our activities include:

  • Creating public awareness of the library's services
  • Sponsoring the children's summer reading program
  • Obtaining gifts, endowments and memorials
  • Sponsoring free presentations by authors
  • Sponsoring local cultural programs and events
  • Supporting other programs and services beyond what normal library funding provides.

Meetings

The Friends of the Library meet in the library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm.

Activities

For the latest, check the bulletin board outside the library.

Donations

Paperback books and recently published hardback books are most appreciated.

Please take your donated books to the library.
