You can put a book on hold from another library through our catalog or by asking a staff member. If the book isn’t part of our consortium, you can place an interlibrary loan(ILL). From our website you can access our catalog on the menu. Once you are in the catalog you will click the “Sign In” button that is located on the top right corner. From there you will enter your username and password. Your username is your library card number, and your password is your last name in lower case. Once you are logged in, search the book you are trying to find in the menu bar. Once you have found the book you are looking for, there will be a button that says “Place Hold”. From there you will click the button that says “Submit Hold Request” located on the bottom right corner of the pop up box. Ta-da! Your item has now been requested.

An interlibrary loan is a service where you can request an item (book, audiobook, movie) from another library outside of our consortium. To place an ILL request, scroll down on the homepage of our website. You will find four boxes below “See What We Have to Offer”, the third box is labeled Interlibrary Loans. Once you have clicked the Interlibrary Loans box, you will fill out the request form. Make sure to enter your correct library card number and phone number so we can notify you on whether or not the request was able to be filled.
