Summer Learning Program 2020

Welcome To Our Summer Learning Program 2020!

Please Note: Events and Activities will be online, unless otherwise noted.

For Kids:

This year, we are offering a new aspect to our summer initiative, a three pronged challenge; Read, Create, Present.

June
Read: The first challenge is to pick a topic that interests you and read about it! It can be ANYTHING that interests you. Did you love the unit on ancient Egypt and want to explore more? Are you revved up by Percy Jackson and you’re ready to delve into the myths behind the stories?

July
Create: The second challenge for Summer Learning participants is to create! We want you to dig deep into your creative side and use the knowledge you gained from reading about your chosen topic as a foundation to create something unique and interesting.

August
Presentation: The final challenge is presentation. We know this challenge may be the scariest of the three, but it doesn’t have to be. Now that you’ve read up on your topic, and you’ve crafted something amazing, now is the time to share your knowledge with others!

Track your reading only
If you are the parent of a small child who isn’t reading yet, or who is just beginning to read, we encourage you to participate by simply setting a personal goal for reading and tracking it as you go.

Either way you choose, participants can earn up to three different prizes this summer and be part of a drawing.

Signing up is simple, just fill out the form below and get started! Please fill out a form for every participant. Contact the library with any questions by phone or email:

For Adults:

As in years past, we also have a summer reading incentive just for adults! Prizes too!

Last year we had a punch card and after 4 punches (4 books) your name would be entered into a prize drawing for a gift card. This year will be similar but instead of a punch card, you just tell us which 4 books you’ve read and we will enter your name into the drawing for you.

Please Email us or Call to let us know which books you have read to be entered into the drawing!
